Roles & permissions
The four built-in roles and what each can do.
Built-in roles
Each person has one role per organisation:
| Role | View everything | Create & edit records | Invite & manage members | Billing, modules & risk matrix |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Admin | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Member | ✓ | ✓ | — | — |
| Auditor | ✓ (read-only) | — | — | — |
Create & edit records covers documents, assessments and findings, evidence links and every register.
Owners
The person who creates an organisation is its first owner. Owners and admins share almost every capability; the difference is that only an owner can change another owner’s role or remove them.
Auditors
The auditor role is designed for your external certification body or an internal auditor who needs independence. Auditors can see everything, use audit-day mode and download PDFs, but can’t change anything.
Changing roles
Owners and admins change roles from Team. See Inviting your team.
