Common questions

Can we exclude clause 8.3 Design and development?+

Yes. Exclude it once, with one justification, and it applies to every sub-clause beneath it. Excluded clauses aren't assessed and don't count as gaps. See Clauses, controls & scope.

Does StayEvident replace our copy of ISO 9001?+

No. The clause guidance in StayEvident is written in our own plain English to help you interpret each requirement. You still need your own licensed copy of the standard.

We're also working towards ISO/IEC 27001. Do we need two systems?+

No. StayEvident runs one integrated management system: registers are shared, and evidence you confirm for an ISO 9001 clause is offered for the equivalent ISO/IEC 27001 clause. See ISO/IEC 27001.
